Three Berkeley County School District wrestlers earned the title of champion recently at the South Carolina High School League (Individual) Championships held in Anderson.
In the 132-pound class of 1A/2A competition, A.J. McClanahan of Philip Simmons High defeated Landon Smith of Pelion High with a 3-2 decision.
In the 170-pound class of 3A competition, Sloan Casteel of Hanahan defeated Rathael Pendergrass of Chester High with an 8-5 decision.
J.J. Peace of Cane Bay High defeated J.J. Marsar of Ashley Ridge in the 113-pound class of 5A competition by pin/fall, 3:20 into the match.
