We’ve got some state champions in Berkeley County School District! At the Tuesday, June 14, 2022 meeting of the Berkeley County Board of Education, board members recognized Berkeley High School’s baseball team, Philip Simmons High’s boys tennis team and Philip Simmons High’s girls track team for winning state titles in their respective sports.
Berkeley High baseball won the Class AAAAA State Baseball Championship on May 28 against Fort Mill High. Winning the last two games in the series, this secured the Stags first state title in baseball.
Philip Simmons boys tennis cinched the Class AA State Boys Tennis Championship on May 7. Philip Simmons girls track team placed 1st overall in Class AA state competition on May 24.
